Jim Penner

Pastor / Author

Jim was raised in a Christian home on the farmlands of Western Canada. It was on the farm where he learned many of the practical life lessons that have guided him through adolescence, into adulthood and to this day. From childhood he was the typical sports enthusiast, playing as many sports as time would permit. Golf is his sport of choice today.

It was during his late teens that Jim sensed God’s call on his life for pastoral ministry. He has been a pastor, conference and retreat speaker in churches in Western Canada and Washington State.

In 2013, Jim stepped out of the pastorate and into a new career:  being full-time caregiver to his wife Linda. They live in Abbotsford, B.C., Canada.

This outstanding ‘story’ of their personal journey is a powerful example of “one beggar showing another beggar where he found bread.” This concise, easy to read book is vital for those experiencing a difficult path in life as well as for those who are called to walk along side, sharing their journey. This timely resource easily lends itself to daily devotional reading and should be considered a must read for all.
